At the end of every year we get to read many best of articles. Infact, the print publications, blogs, channels are today flooded with- best of Bollywood, best of fashion, top selling smart phones, 1 to 10 laptops, etc all. This list is never ending and you may also have yours. (Do put your best of list as comments)

Amidst all the glamour, it would be wise to highlight the best of technology for this year- 2010. Sure you must have heard about Cloud Computing as a concept and Software as a Service (SaaS), the most talked about delivery model.

SaaS is one of the most popular and mature models, with a web-centric interface to its users. Leased and maintained by the service provider, SaaS application helps the user cut down IT budgets heavily. It also has been a boom for SME's (Small and medium enterprises) who now can lease this application without bothering about research, development, maintenance and the arduous task of hosting their application.

Cloud computing on the other hand has revolutionized the market with its catchy punch line "pay per use". The same quotient changed the dynamics of the telecom sector, when they introduced pay as per use model. Today the same is seen in the rage for cloud , and it's increasing every single day. With more and more applications finding compatibility on the Cloud, the near future may see a completely revised IT budget, way lower than the present. This year, Ramco launched the second version of its hero product, Ramco OnDemand ERP, RODE 2.0. An ERP solution hosted on the web with numerous benefits.
